DEPARTMENT:  THEATRE    

JOB TITLE:  Theatre Technical Assistant
DUTIES:  Assist with all events in Fine Arts Theater; Scene construction, lighting (assist with lighting hang), assist with sound.
PREFERRED SKILLS:  Applicant must have some basic knowledge of hand tools to include cordless screwdriver, paint brushes, etc.; painting, etc. May be asked to lift up to 50lbs.
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK:
RATE OF PAY:  $7.95 per hour 

DATE POSITION IS AVAILABLE: FALL SEMESTER
COMMENTS:  Some non-traditional work hours expected.  Support needed at all events.  No experience necessary-will train.




DEPARTMENT:  MUSIC
JOB TITLE: 
Student Assistant  
DUTIES: 
Set up and take down of band shell pieces for band concerts in the Fine Arts Theatre. Set up and take down of risers for choir concerts in the Fine Arts Theatre and the Main Hall Auditorium. Attend every convocation Thursdays from 12:00pm-12:25pm and take attendance. Record convocation attendance and performances and email to all applied teachers in a timely manner.
PREFERRED SKILLS: 
Proficiency in audio recording, organizational skills, and good communication skills.
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK
:  Varied, dependent upon need and number of performances. Student Assistants could expect to have significantly more hours near the end of each semester.
RATE OF PAY:  $7.95 per hour

DEPARTMENT:  GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
JOB TITLE:  Student Assistant
DUTIES:  Work with grounds crew (primarily in the outdoors; varied temperatures and weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, odors, loud equipment noise, etc); lawn care, flowers, shrubs, operate motor vehicles, tools, keep grounds clean, snow and ice removal.  Requires considerable physical exertion to include frequent lifting of up to 100 pounds including snow shoveling and extended periods of kneeling, stooping, standing, and walking. 
PREFERRED SKILLS:  Previous grounds maintenance and/or landscaping experience.  Practical knowledge in the operation of grounds maintenance equipment and tools (i.e., rakes, shovels, pruning tools, gasoline powered Gator ATV’s, backpack blowers, lawn mowers, weed eaters, power edger’s, etc.).  Valid Ohio driver’s license with safe driving record.
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK: 
RATE OF PAY:  $7.95 per hour

COMMENTS:  May work varied hours and shifts to include early mornings and evenings; requires on-campus travel.

JOB TITLE:  Student assistant
DUTIES:  Greet customers; assist customers; stock shelves; check in merchandise; run cash register; assist with online store service; various other cleaning and office duties.
PREFERRED SKILLS:  Must have: cashiering experience, be able to lift up to 50lbs., basic computer skills, customer service skills.  Applicants must be able to complete assignment with little or no supervision.
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK:  15-28; days and evenings
RATE OF PAY:  $7.95 per hour

DUTIES:  
Serve clients food & beverages; restocking of food and supply items; set-up & break-down for events; maintain appearance of dining supplies; must be customer service oriented.
PREFERRED SKILLS: 
Ability to multi task several duties simultaneously; may be asked to lift up to 20lbs; must have good people skills.
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK
: Looking for someone to work between 10 am and 2 pm during the week. Flexible schedule required as this position is as needed/per event.
RATE OF PAY:  
$8.00 per hour

DEPARTMENT: RECREATION & WELLNESS                
JOB TITLE:  Group Exercise Instructor
DUTIES:
Choreograph, teach and supervise drop-in group exercise classes that reinforce industry guidelines for healthy activity and promote and enhance permanent, positive lifestyle choices.
PREFERRED SKILLS:  Current CPR/ AED certification or ability to obtain required. We offer certification when needed. Current nationally recognized group exercise, cycling, yoga or other relevant certification required. Examples: Spinning, Zumba, AFAA, ACSM, NETA

DEPARTMENT: NETWORK SERVICES
JOB TITLE:  Helpdesk Tier 1 Support Associate
DUTIES:  This student worker will work closely with the Helpdesk manager to take the first calls from the Helpdesk line and begin troubleshooting based on documentation provided. They will input all the pertinent information into the Network Services ticket system and disperse the information to the rest of the department as needed. They will also help manage the Helpdesk database, running reports, cleaning data, review tickets for missing information and add notes as needed. They will help manage the documentation for the helpdesk and test any directions on various issues. They will be the backup support for lab and campus issues. Still maintaining regular lab assistant training and duties but will only be called in to those tasks when others are not available.
REQUIRED SKILLS:  Customer Service Phone Skills Basic use of Word, Power point, Excel and Access Organizational skills Create helpdesk documentation
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK: 10-15 a week more on long breaks
RATE OF PAY:  $8.25 per hour

JOB TITLE:  Computer Lab Assistant

REQUIREMENTS:   The successful candidate will have the ability to lift, move, and connect computers with their peripherals. Knowledge of Windows XP and 7, Microsoft Office 2007/2010 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access). Flashline, Google Mail, and Blackboard/learn. Must be organized, follow written directions and learn new tasks quickly.
DUTIES:
 The Computer Lab Assistant will have the overall responsibility of providing assistance to students, staff, and faculty in understanding the computer lab systems and in learning various software applications. The Computer Lab Assistant will aide in overseeing the proper use and maintenance of campus computer labs, classroom computers, and campus printers. PREFERRED SKILLS: Basic computer knowledge and ability to answer phones and give general direction to staff, students, and faculty in a positive manner.
