JOB TITLE:   Gallery Monitor
DUTIES:   Maintaining a professional presence in the gallery during posted gallery hours, providing information to the public about the exhibitions, responding to questions from visitors, ensuring all visitors enjoy their visit to the gallery and will recommend it to others, opening or securing the gallery as required, observing the conditions of the gallery and artwork and alerting the gallery preparator as problems/difficulties arise, and performing other duties as requested by the gallery preparator or departmental head.
PREFERRED SKILLS:  Strong interpersonal communication skills, experience in dealing with the public, and ability to work on their own.

DUTIES: Choreograph, teach and supervise drop-in group exercise classes that reinforce industry guidelines for healthy activity and promote and enhance permanent, positive lifestyle choices.
PREFERRED SKILLS:  Current CPR/ AED certification or ability to obtain required. We offer certification when needed. Current nationally recognized group exercise, cycling, yoga or other relevant certification required. Examples: Spinning, Zumba, AFAA, ACSM, NETA

DUTIES: 
Customer counter service (i.e. taking food orders, running a cash register, etc.); cleaning dining area and food prep areas; stocking supplies; recycling and taking out trash; may also assist with light food prep (i.e. making sandwiches, bagging cookies and chips, etc.); Employees must follow state safety and health regulations. May be asked to use sharp kitchen utensils/equipment.|
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Ability to assist and direct students/customers; ability to multi task several duties simultaneously; ability to run a cash register; work will be mostly indoors with exception of recycling and taking out trash; may be asked to lift up to 30lb

PREFERRED SKILLS:  Applicant must have some basic knowledge of hand tools to include cordless screwdriver, paint brushes, etc.; painting, etc. May be asked to lift up to 50lbs.

DEPARTMENT:  MUSIC
JOB TITLE: 
Student Assistant  
DUTIES:
  Assist choral and band director as needed with set up and take down of band shell pieces and choral risers for concerts in FA theatre and Main Hall auditorium. Assist studio ensemble directors with set up and take down of concerts in Main Hall auditorium. Provide stage assistance for assigned concerts throughout the semester. Provide recording assistance and live sound assistance for assigned concerts (after receiving approval from music faculty).
PREFERRED SKILLS:  Proficiency in audio recording, organizational skills, and good communication skills.
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK
:  Varied, dependent upon need and number of performances. Student Assistants could expect to have significantly more hours near the end of each semester.

JOB TITLE:  Computer Lab Assistant

REQUIREMENTS:   The successful candidate will have the ability to lift, move, and connect computers with their peripherals. Knowledge of Windows XP and 7, Microsoft Office 2007/2010 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access). Flashline, Google Mail, and Blackboard/learn. Must be organized, follow written directions and learn new tasks quickly.
DUTIES:
 The Computer Lab Assistant will have the overall responsibility of providing assistance to students, staff, and faculty in understanding the computer lab systems and in learning various software applications. The Computer Lab Assistant will aide in overseeing the proper use and maintenance of campus computer labs, classroom computers, and campus printers.
SKILLS: Basic computer knowledge and ability to answer phones and give general direction to staff, students, and faculty in a positive manner.

DEPARTMENT:  GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
JOB TITLE:  Student Assistant
DUTIES:  Work with grounds crew (primarily in the outdoors; varied temperatures and weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, odors, loud equipment noise, etc); lawn care, flowers, shrubs, operate motor vehicles, tools, keep grounds clean, snow and ice removal.  Requires considerable physical exertion to include frequent lifting of up to 100 pounds including snow shoveling and extended periods of kneeling, stooping, standing, and walking. 
PREFERRED SKILLS:  Previous grounds maintenance and/or landscaping experience.  Practical knowledge in the operation of grounds maintenance equipment and tools (i.e., rakes, shovels, pruning tools, gasoline powered Gator ATV’s, backpack blowers, lawn mowers, weed eaters, power edger’s, etc.).  Valid Ohio driver’s license with safe driving record.

DEPARTMENT: NETWORK SERVICES
JOB TITLE:  Helpdesk Tier 1 Support Associate
DUTIES:  This student worker will work closely with the Helpdesk manager to take the first calls from the Helpdesk line and begin troubleshooting based on documentation provided. They will input all the pertinent information into the Network Services ticket system and disperse the information to the rest of the department as needed. They will also help manage the Helpdesk database, running reports, cleaning data, review tickets for missing information and add notes as needed. They will help manage the documentation for the helpdesk and test any directions on various issues. They will be the backup support for lab and campus issues. Still maintaining regular lab assistant training and duties but will only be called in to those tasks when others are not available.
REQUIRED SKILLS:  Customer Service Phone Skills Basic use of Word, Power point, Excel and Access Organizational skills Create helpdesk documentation
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK: 10-15 a week more on long breaks
RATE OF PAY:  $8.25 per hour
