Center Hours

Fall & Spring Semesters:
Monday - Thursday: 6:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Closed Saturday & Sunday

Center will be closed Monday, Dec. 22 -
Friday, Jan. 2 and will reopen on Monday,
Jan. 5 at 6:30 a.m.

Winter & Spring Breaks:
Monday - Thursday: 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Monday - Thursday: 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

About the Recreation & Wellness Center

Recreation & Wellness Center & Surrounding Campus Grounds

  • 11,000 sq. ft. facility with a half-court basketball / volleyball court and a dance / aerobics studio
  • 1,384 ft. outdoor track (1/4 mile is 1,320 feet)
  • 1,713 ft. pond trail (little less than 1/3 mile)
  • Tennis courts
  • Baseball fields

Center is open at no cost to:

  • Currently enrolled Kent State Stark students
  • Kent State faculty, staff and alumni (alumni - limited use during peak academic class times)
  • Spouses of Kent State faculty, staff and administrators, family members, dependents and significant others of Kent State faculty, staff and administrators. Dependents must be at least 16 years of age to use the facility.
  • Retired Kent State faculty, staff and administrators

$5 Daily Guest Passes

  • Guest pass users MUST be accompanied by a current Recreation & Wellness Center member in good standing
  • Guest pass users will be able to attend non-credit classes such as Zumba, Yoga, Bootcamp and Cycling.
  • Guest pass users must follow all Recreation & Wellness Center  posted rules and policies and sign a daily waiver form
  • Guest pass sales will be limited during times of academic classes and special activities

  • Variety of on-campus credit classes such as kickboxing, Tai Chi, yoga and weight training
