Majors & Degree Programs
Kent State Stark offers several academic program opportunities in the bachelor's, master's and associate degree degree levels. Students can earn a bachelor's degree in applied communication, business management, English, general studies, history, justice studies, mathematics, middle childhood education, nursing, psychology and technology. In addition, Kent State Stark offers a professional M.B.A. degree program and offers a master's of education degree program in curriculum and instruction. Students can also earn an associate degree in arts, justice studies and science. The campus offers the core courses for Kent State's 281 undergraduate majors and programs. Enrollment
Kent State Stark serves 10,000 students each year, comprised of 5,000 enrolled in academic course work (fall, spring and summer semesters) and 5,000 enrolled in professional and graduate courses. In addition, approximately 200 high school students take advantage of the Post-Secondary Enrollment Option Program. In 2008, more than 500 students graduated from Kent State Stark with associate, bachelor's and master's degrees.

Faculty
As of Fall 2007, Kent State Stark has 92 full-time faculty and 128 part-time faculty. 90% of full-time faculty hold a Ph.D. or a terminal degree in their field. All instructors hold at least a masters degree in their teaching field and Kent State Stark does not have graduate assistants teaching classes. The student-faculty ratio is 19-to-1; allowing dedicated professors to work closely with students, helping them achieve success inside the classroom and beyond.
Campus Buildings
The campus consists of six major buildings, including Main Hall, the Learning Resource Center (Library), Fine Arts Building, Physical Education Facility, Campus Center and the Professional Education and Conference Center. In 2009, the campus will break ground for a new science building, a $10.5 million, 30,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility designed to provide additional teaching and research laboratories to support the campus' mission of equipping more scientists and science educators.
Cultural Events
Kent State Stark offers more than 50 cultural events each season, including the Featured Speakers Series, which brings national and international experts in civil rights, politics, education, literature, entertainment and arts to campus. The University Center
Each year, more than 45,000 employees - from as many as 250 companies - participate in corporate meetings an social events at the University Center (Professional Education and Conference Center). The center is Ohio's most technologically advanced meeting and events facility and is among the few in the state to receive the stringent accreditation of the International Association of Conference Centers. Skilled multimedia specialists attend to every detail of corporate meetings and events, and expert event planning and catering staff guarantee memorable experiences at the many wedding receptions, fundraisers and holiday parties held at the center. Office of Corporate and Community Services
Located in The University Center, the Office of Corporate and Community Services provides local organizations with intense learning and development experiences, such as Lean/Six Sigma Training and Certification, Certificate of Supervision, Certificate of Management and Certificate of Executive Assistants. Local organizations can also benefit from services including evaluation and research, organizational development consulting, small business counseling and customized programs.
