Transient Admission

A transient student is a student who is already enrolled at another college or university and would like to take course work at Kent State as a visiting (guest) student for one semester only.

To enroll at Kent State Stark as a transient student, the following items are necessary to complete your application for admission:

  • Application for Admission
    (applying online is strongly encouraged)

  • $10 nonrefundable admission fee

  • Certification of Good Academic Standing
Transient students must be in good academic standing at their home institution and possess a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.00 on a 4.00 scale. You will be unable to register until your Certification of Good Academic Standing is received.

Note: Transient status is for one semester. Students wishing to attend more than one semester will need to reapply online for the future term.

Kent State students attending other KSU campuses do not need to apply to Kent State Stark as a transient student. Simply register for your classes at Kent State Stark through FlashLine/FlashFAST.

Registration

Once you've been admitted, you will receive your Kent State University FlashLine user ID and password in the mail. You will log into FlashLine and access Student Tools to register your classes.
