Attendance at an in-person Smart Start orientation is highly recommended in order to help you make a successful transition to Kent State Stark. However, we understand this is not always possible.To start off on the right track, take our online Smart Start Orientation when you're unable to attend an in-person orientation.

Kent State University at Stark welcomes all new students to campus on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 for Smart Start Spring. This is your new student orientation that will prepare your for the first day of classes - and college life.
Smart Start Spring is for NEW Kent State Stark students only.
THE 411:
- Check-in begins at 12:45 p.m. in the Main Hall Lobby
- Attend Orientation sessions on campus life, student services, academic support services, faculty expectations and Kent State technology
- Receive your Kent State Planner
- Learn everything you need to know for your first day of classes
- Meet other new students
- Take care of last-minute details
- Find your classrooms
- Jump-start your first semester
- Free ice cream sundae bar following Orientation
- Buy your books and Kent State gear
- Bookstore will be open until 5 p.m.
