Attendance at an in-person Smart Start orientation is highly recommended in order to help you make a successful transition to Kent State Stark. However, we understand this is not always possible.To start off on the right track, take our online Smart Start Orientation when you're unable to attend an in-person orientation.

Kent State University at Stark welcomes all new students to campus on August 24 for Smart Start Saturday. This is your new student orientation that will prepare you for the first day of classes - and college life.
Smart Start Saturday is for NEW Kent State Stark students only.

- Check-in begins at 8:45 a.m. in the Main Hall Lobby
- Receive your Kent State Stark Planner
- Attend mandatory New Student Orientation Sessions
- Team KSU Parent/Guest Sessions
