Kent State Stark Scholarships for New Freshmen - Fall 2013
Kent State Stark's first year scholarships are awarded on the basis of high school academic performance. These full and partial tuition scholarships do not require repayment and are often renewable for one additional year if academic expectations are met.2013-2014 First Year (Freshman) Scholarship Eligibility
- Must apply and be accepted for admission by Friday, March 1, 2013
- Available to new freshmen (2013 high school graduates)
- Must attend Kent State Stark for the 2013-2014 academic year
- Scholarships are for the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters only
- Scholarships are not available for Summer 2013 or Summer 2014
You will be automatically considered for the first year scholarships below (in gray) if you have been admitted to Kent State Stark by Friday, March 1, 2013. No additional scholarship application is necessary.

Full and partial awards available for new freshmen members of the Honors Program.

- 3.5 cumulative high school GPA
- ACT composite score of 27
- Accepted into the Kent State Stark Honors Program

Kent State Stark Alumni Scholarship
Up to $1,000 per year is available to first year legacies of Kent State Stark alumnus (parent or guardian who attended Kent State Stark at least one semester).
- Must be an undergraduate
- Minimum 3.0 high school GPA
- Full-time enrollment at Kent State Stark
- Essay (listed in scholarship application)
- Deadline to apply is March 1

Charity Rotch Scholarship
Up to $500 per year is available to first year students.
- Minimum 3.0 high school GPA
- Nursing, education or health-related major
- Age 21 or younger
- Full-time enrollment at Kent State Stark
- Resident of western Stark County (ex. Massillon, Navarre, Perry, Canal Fulton, Brewster, Jackson Township, locations west of I-77)
- 2013-14 FAFSA filed and EFC received
- Essay (listed in scholarship application)

Charles and Judy Scheurer Endowed Scholarship
Up to $500 per year is available to first year students.
- Timken High School graduate
- First generation college student
- 2013-14 FAFSA filed and EFC received

Kent State Stark Music Scholarship
Scholarships are available to new first year music majors.
- Must be a Kent State Stark music major
- Minimum 2.5 overall high school GPA and 3.0 in music courses
- Full-time enrollment at Kent State Stark
- 11 hours of music courses each semester

Mayor's Scholarship Program: City of Canton, Ohio
$1,000 per year is available to first year students.
- Reside within Canton City limits
- Attend a public high school
- Minimum 3.0 high school GPA
- Minimum ACT composite of 22
- Full-time enrollment at Kent State Stark
- 2013-14 FAFSA filed and EFC received
- Letter of recommendation from the Mayor's Office
- Deadline to apply is March 1
