Kent State Stark students from Lisa Waite's Organizational Training & Development class facilitated a communication training seminar with Joanne Murray and the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival staff.

 

Communication Studies Degree

There are four concentrations in the major, three of which can be completed at Kent State Stark - applied, interpersonal and organizational communication.

Regardless of their concentration, all students in communication studies take a 15-credit core that covers a basic introduction to human communication, foundational skills for communication, communication theory, communication research methods and a communication diversity course. All students also take 15 credits required in each of the individual concentration and 15 additional credits of communication electives.

   Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies

Applied Communication Degree Completion with Stark State College
Students have a unique opportunity to continue their education by combining their Technical Communications associate degree from Stark State College with courses in Applied Communication from Kent State Stark to earn a bachelor’s degree.

The Technical Communications Program at Stark State College is designed to cover a wide range of requirements, including the ability to write clearly, edit and design technical documents. Completing this degree with the Applied Communication concentration at Kent State Stark provides graduates with theoretical background, research experiences and additional skills that may expand their marketability to potential employers.
