Best Practices in Career Management on August 7Posted Jul. 3, 2013
The Corporate University, Kent State University at Stark is offering a panel discussion to address best practices in the workplace. The program, Best Practices in Career Management, is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at The University Center, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township.
We’ve all heard the statistics that today’s workforce will have five to seven careers in their lifetime. Whether or not you agree with that statement, it is clear there is volatility in the economy that pushes the idea of career management to the forefront. Individuals and organizations need to be mindful and active in assisting individual employees with their career management plan. This encompasses gaining new skills, perfecting old skills and developing a workable plan to utilize the workforce in the most efficient manner.
Panelists include Laura Brownlee, consultant; Patrick Johnson, leadership development coach at Summa Health System; and Faith Sheaffer-Polen, director of The Corporate University, Kent State University at Stark. Moderating the panel discussion will be Scott Tackett, SPHR, consultant.
