Spring 2012 Commencement Ceremony Speaker Announced

Kent State University at Stark proudly announces Chad Luxenburg, the managing director and senior consultant of Scitrain Ltd., as the speaker for the 2012 Spring Commencement Ceremony. The ceremony, to be held on Friday, May 4 at 7 p.m. at Umstattd Performing Arts Hall in Canton, is a ticketed event. A total of 144 graduate candidates, receiving bachelor’s, master’s and associate degrees, will participate in this semester’s commencement exercises.
Luxenburg earned an associate of arts degree from Kent State University at Stark and in 1995, graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s of arts degree. From there, he went on to earn a master’s of arts in organizational behavior from The University of Akron. After completing graduate school, he worked and studied in Europe before coming back to the United States to work with a Fortune 200 company out of Providence, R.I.
Over the past 16 years, Luxenburg has dedicated his career to identifying, assessing and developing human resource talent for individual and organizational growth. His experience spans over a diverse range of industries, giving him an in-depth perspective on the development needs of human resources and effective approaches to meet those needs.
In 2004, Luxenburg and a German foreign exchange student friend from high school founded a software/leadership development company called Scitrain Ltd. Scitrain creates their own cutting-edge technology tools, such as computer-simulated assessment centers that mirror the intricate, complex and challenging situations faced by a modern business today. Since the founding of Scitrain, the organization has grown more than 80 percent each year and currently has offices in Canton, Ohio, Hong Kong, Brazil and Germany.
