Celebrate Earth Day With Us on April 18

On Sunday, April 18 from 1 - 4 p.m., Kent State University at Stark commemorates Earth Day 2010 with the presentation of events to inspire the awareness of environmental responsibility and to improve the appreciation for our planet’s natural resources.
Kent State Stark has partnered with the following sponsors to present these events: The Repository, Diebold Inc. and The Print Shop. The event will take place at the Campus Center and pond areas. This event is free and open to the public.
Attendees will enjoy a family-friendly afternoon filled with environmental educational activities, entertainment, demonstrations and discussions for all ages. Activities include mock fossil digs, old-fashioned games, planetary, geologic walks, nature walks, seed planting and crafts.
Contributing organizations to the Earth Day Celebration include: Stark Parks, Canton Audubon Society, Girl Scouts, Ohio EPA, Stark State College of Technology, The Stock Pile, Beech Creek Botanical Garden & Nature Preserve, Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Joint Solid Waste Management District, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Glen-Oak High School, Wildlife Habitat Conservancy, ODNR Division of Forestry and Project REBUILD.
