Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA) recently announced that its 31-day Student Pass will now be available to any college student - regardless of age. Traditionally, the 31-day Student Bus Pass had only been available for riders 6-18 years of age (children 5 and under ride free with an adult). The student passenger just needs to show a valid student ID when purchasing the pass at SARTA’s Customer Service window at transit centers in Alliance, Massillon, or Canton.

SARTA’s 31-day Student Bus Pass is the only exclusive student fare. The cost is $27.50 and is good for 31 days from the time it is first used in the electronic fare box. If not using the 31-day Student Bus Pass, passengers would pay the normal price of $45 for a 31-day Regular Pass, or the $1.50 regular cash fare, or they could use the $3.00 Day Pass.
