Nursing Home Administrators Conference on March 13

The Corporate University, Kent State University at Stark is pleased to present a Nursing Home Administrators Conference. Kent State University is an approved provider of continuing education credit by the Ohio Board of Executives of Long-term Services & Supports (BELTSS/BENHA).
The one-day conference for Ohio nursing home administrators will take place on Thursday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in The University Center at Kent State Stark, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. This event is pending approval for six (6) BELTSS/BENHA CEUs.

Conference Agenda:
8:15 – 9 a.m.:     Registration and breakfast
9 a.m. – noon:    5 Dysfunctions of a Team facilitated by Kristy Frieden
Noon – 1 p.m.:   Lunch
1 – 4 p.m.:          Conflict Resolution and Dealing with Difficult Situations facilitated by Marti Peden

About the Facilitators:
Frieden has more than 17 years of experience working with all levels of leadership. She has worked with a variety of organizations and industries, including healthcare, higher education, manufacturing and technology. She has done extensive facilitator training with GE Healthcare Solutions, as it relates to selecting, developing, coaching and evaluating top performers. Frieden’s passion and dynamic presentation style, coupled with her sense of humor and positive approach, engages and motivates clients to focus on their strengths while achieving success.
Peden is a human resources development consultant and president of Peden and Associates, a consulting firm based in Akron, Ohio. She has worked extensively within the health care setting, providing management training, employee development training, team building and conflict resolution services. For more than 25 years, she has served many health care clients, including Summa Health System, Aultman Hospital and the Ohio Department of Mental Health, in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, skilled nursing, physician practices and behavioral health facilities.
