2011-2012 Student Leadership Awards Nominations must be submitted by Friday, April 6 at 5 p.m. Awards will be presented at the annual Boast & Brunch celebration on Friday, May 4 at 10:30 a.m. in the Campus Center Emporium. An email invitation will follow.
Note that submissions without a detailed reason for nomination will not be considered. Please be thorough and detailed in your reason for nomination. 300-500 words is expected.
Optional Additional Information For all nominations, you can submit up to six pages of supporting documentation including, but not limited to, fliers, photos, letters of recommendation, evaluations, program information, etc. Return this information in-person to the Office of Student Life or send in campus mail.

1. OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT The purpose of this award is to acknowledge and recognize a student organization that gives their time and energy to improve their community. Any project that provides support to Stark County between April 2011 and March 2012 will be considered.

2. DEAN'S CUP The purpose of this award is to recognize a group that has demonstrated outstanding leadership, event planning, community service and teamwork. The nominated organization must be a registered student organization or university supported group during the 2011-2012 academic year. Its members should demonstrate great character and regularly support campus-wide events.

3. EMERGING LEADER AWARD The purpose of this award is to acknowledge a student officer or leader that has gone above and beyond his or her NEW role within the organization. To be eligible, nominees must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher.

4. ACHIEVEMENT AWARD The purpose of this award is to recognize an individual student leader that is a role model inside and outside the classroom. Nominees must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher.

5. ADVISOR OF THE YEAR The purpose of this award is to recognize a faculty or staff member who serves as an advisor to a student organization. This advisor will be chosen on the basis of his or her involvement and knowledge of the organization and the amount of guidance and support offered when needed.

6. BEHIND THE SCENES INSPIRATION The purpose of this award is to acknowledge student leaders who work behind the scenes to make their organizations successful. To be eligible, nominees must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
