SCORE - Stark Campus Orientation and Registration Experience
SCORE is how new first-year students from high school register for Fall 2008 classes.
SCORE is the Stark Campus Orientation and Registration Experience. Realizing that college is an exciting and challenging time for you and your family, we’ve prepared an orientation and registration program focused on helping you make a smooth transition to your life as a college student.
Because we want our students to be successful, SCORE is required for all new first-year students. (2008 and 2007 high school graduates)
Your SCORE day will include the following:
COMPASS placement testing Identifies your skills in reading, writing and math. Scores are used by advisors to determine proper placement in courses.
Optional Parent Forum Offered while students are COMPASS testing, the Parent Forum is an informal discussion to learn about Kent State and the college experience.
Kent State FlashCard Student IDs You'll receive your Kent State University student ID.
Academic Advising Presentation Discusses the organization of the University, liberal education and major requirements, Master Advising Plan, faculty and advisor expectations, registration procedures and much more!
