In September 2007, the newly formed Northeast Ohio Writing Centers Association held its first annual conference, and Stark tutors both attended and presented.

In Fall 2005, the "Tutoring Writing" course was again offered via Distributed Learning to multiple Kent State campuses, resulting in a very large group of tutors anxious to present at ECWCA the next March.

In Fall 2004, for the first time the "Tutoring Writing" course was offered via Distributed Learning to five Kent State campuses, allowing tutors throughout the KSU system to talk, learn, and work with one another. As a result, that Spring tutors from several Kent campus writing centers were able to attend the ECWCA conference together.
